Sekadau, West Kalimantan
West Kalimantan is one of the provinces in Indonesia located on the
island of Borneo with the provincial capital of Pontianak City. The area of
West Kalimantan includes one area that can be dubbed the province of
"Thousand Rivers". This nickname is in harmony with the geographical
conditions that have hundreds of large and small rivers. Several major rivers
are still the arteries and main routes for transport in rural areas, although
road infrastructure has reached most of the sub-districts. The population of
West Kalimantan according to the population census of 2014 amounted to 4,073,304
people (1.85% of Indonesia's population).
Sekadau District is one of the regencies in West Kalimantan
Province, Indonesia. Sekadau regency with its Sekadau area has an area of
5,444.30 km² or 3.17% from outside West Kalimantan Province, divided into 76
Villages and 7 District among them; Nanga Mahap Sub-district, Nanga Taman
Sub-district, Sekadau Hulu (Rawak) Sub-district, Sekadau Hilir Sub-district,
Belitang Hulu Sub-district, Belitang Hilir Sub-district and Belitang
Sub-district.
In the village of Nanga Mahap there are several waterfalls, one of
which is Cuci Kain Waterfall, located in the Village Tembaga, District Nanga
Mahap. To go to the location of this waterfall is quite time-consuming,
especially for foreign tourists and tourists outside the district Sekadau. From
Supadio airport, Pontianak to Nanga Mahap Sub-district can use land
transportation, such as bus, car, or motorcycle. While from the center of Nanga
Mahap Sub-district to the location of the waterfall can only use a motorcycle.
The areas or routes traveled by the vehicles above (buses, cars and
motorcycles) are; Sungai Ambawang, Simpang Ampar, Sanggau District, Sekadau
Hilir Sub-district (Sekadau District), Sekadau Hulu Sub-district (Rawak), Nanga
Taman Sub-district and then to Nanga Mahap Sub-district. Time taken in the
journey is about 6-8 hours and transportation costs from Supadio airport,
Pontianak to Nanga Mahap ± Rp. 100.000-200.000, while the cost to go to the
location of the waterfall by using a motorcycle is ± Rp. 20,000 for commute.
The route of the journey from Nanga Mahap to the location of the
waterfall is the area of the village, forest and oil palm plantations. The
road condition is still a yellow land and a path. The natural beauty that is
served by the waterfall can refresh the mind, plus the 3-storey waterfall and
still natural, the jungle is also natural, fresh water and large rocks add to
the attraction of the waterfall and pamper the eyes for the visitors of Cuci
Kain waterfall.

Keindahan Alam dan Daya Tarik Air Terjun Cuci Kain

Kalimantan Barat adalah salah satu
provinsi di Indonesia yang terletak di Pulau Kalimantan dengan Ibu Kota Provinsi
Kota Pontianak. Daerah Kalimantan Barat termasuk salah satu daerah yang dapat dijuluki
provinsi “Seribu Sungai”. Julukan ini selaras dengan kondisi geografis yang
mempunyai ratusan sungai besar dan kecil. Beberapa sungai besar sampai saat ini
masih merupakan urat nadi dan jalur utama untuk angkutan di daerah pedalaman,
walaupun prasarana jalan darat telah dapat menjangkau sebagian besar kecamatan.
Jumlah penduduk Kalimantan Barat menurut sensus penduduk tahun 2014 berjumlah
4.073.304 jiwa (1,85% penduduk Indonesia).
Kabupaten Sekadau adalah salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi
Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia. Kabupaten Sekadau yang beribukotakan Sekadau
memiliki luas 5.444,30 km² atau 3,17 % dari luar Provinsi Kalimantan Barat,
yang terbagi dalam 76 Desa dan 7 Kecamatan di antaranya; Kecamatan Nanga Mahap,
Nanga Taman, Sekadau Hulu (Rawak), Sekadau Hilir, Belitang Hulu, Belitang Hilir
dan Belitang.
Di Desa Nanga Mahap terdapat beberapa air terjun, salah satunya
adalah air terjun Cuci Kain yang terletak di Desa Tembaga, Kecamatan Nanga
Mahap. Untuk menuju ke lokasi air terjun ini cukup menyita waktu yang lama,
terlebih untuk para wisatawan asing maupun wisatawan di luar daerah Kabupaten
Sekadau. Dari bandara Supadio, Pontianak menuju Kecamatan Nanga Mahap dapat
menggunakan transportasi darat, seperti bus, mobil, maupun sepeda motor.
Sedangkan dari pusat Kecamatan Nanga Mahap menuju ke lokasi air terjun hanya
dapat menggunakan sepeda motor.
Adapun daerah-daerah atau rute perjalanan yang dilalui oleh
kendaraan di atas (bus, mobil dan sepeda motor) adalah; Sungai Ambawang,
Simpang Ampar, Kabupaten Sanggau, Kecamatan Sekadau Hilir (Kabupaten Sekadau),
Kecamatan Sekadau Hulu (Rawak), Kecamatan Nanga Taman dan barulah sampai ke
Kecamatan Nanga Mahap. Waktu yang ditempuh dalam perjalanan yaitu sekitar 6-8
jam dan biaya transportasi dari bandara Supadio, Pontianak menuju Nanga Mahap ±
Rp. 100.000-200.000, sedangkan biaya untuk menuju ke lokasi air terjun dengan
menggunakan sepeda motor adalah ± Rp. 20.000 untuk pulang pergi.
Rute perjalanan yang dilewati dari Nanga Mahap menuju lokasi air
terjun adalah wilayah perkampungan, hutan dan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Kondisi jalan masih berupa tanah kuning dan jalan setapak. Keindahan
alam yang disuguhkan oleh air terjun tersebut dapat menyegarkan pikiran,
ditambah dengan air terjun yang
bertingkat 3 dan masih alami, hutan yang masih alami pula, air yang segar dan
bebatuan yang besar menambah daya tarik air terjun tersebut dan memanjakan mata
bagi para pengunjung air terjun Cuci Kain.
